Produzione e retroscena durante la lavorazione del film Je vous présente Pamela (Vi presento Pamela), girato negli studi della Victorine a Nizza: la vita e il lavoro degli attori, dei membri della troupe cinematografica e del regista, Ferrand. Dal primo all'ultimo giorno delle riprese i problemi della lavorazione s'alternano con i rapporti personali tra i vari componenti della “troupe” e con la storia del film nel film. Pur costruito su incastri e incroci, ricco di citazioni, autocitazioni, allusioni, è un film che viaggia come un treno nella notte.
