L'indossatrice (1950)
Lily è un'aspirante indossatrice proveniente dal Kansas. A New York fa la conoscenza di Mary, già affermata modella ma leggermente in declino. Mary si uccide quando il suo uomo dimostra di nutrire interesse per Lily. Quest'ultima decide allora di pensare solo al lavoro, ma finisce per innamorarsi di un uomo sposato. Quando ne conosce la moglie, una donna coraggiosa paralizzata dopo un incidente automobilistico, decide di rinunciare alla sua storia d'amore.
