Talento multiforme, John Leguizamo interpreta Pestario "La Peste" Vargas, un camaleontico artista in controtendenza, l'uomo dalle cento facce, il genio dai mille travestimenti, il muchaco con un milione di accenti. Un momento è un vecchio capo di una tribù africana, il momento dopo un cantante giapponese di Karaoke. Quando un violento scozzese lo insegue per riprendersi 50.000 dollari, un pazzo nazista promette a Vargas di pagargli la somma, ma solo se "La Peste" gli permette di dargli la caccia e di abbatterlo come una preda.
