The Ramen Girl (2008)
Abby, studentessa americana fuori corso, arriva a Tokyo per stare accanto al suo fidanzato, che prontamente parte alla volta di Osaka. Lei però non lo segue, nella speranza che il ragazzo si ravveda e ritorni di sua volontà. Intanto è costretta a scontrarsi col suo pessimo giapponese e con qualche lavoretto di fortuna. Affascinata dal negozio di ramen sotto casa, Abby decide di imparare l'arte della cucina dallo chef Maezumi e da sua moglie Reiko. Purtroppo il lavoro non è quel che pensava, e il suo primo compito è fare le pulizie. Nella speranza di apprendere la preparazione dei ramen, Abby persiste, ma Maezumi non pare intenzionato a farla crescere professionalmente...
