Loggerheads (2005)
[SUB ITA] - Le enormi tartarughe marine, ormai in via di estinzione, che depongono le loro uova nel Nord Carolina sono sullo sfondo di questo bellissimo e sconvolgente film. Seguiamo quattro personaggi principali, ognuno colto in un momento particolarmente cruciale della sua esistenza, nell'arco di un anno, in tre differenti luoghi. Raccontandoci rapidamente tre storie nella Giornata della Mamma, il film diventa una meravigliosa composizione di amore, perdita e desiderio. Mark (lo sbalorditivo e bellissimo Kip Pardue) è un vagabondo che arriva in città per aiutare a salvare le tartarughe. Si incontra casualmente col sexy proprietario del motel. Nel frattempo Grace sta cercando il figlio che aveva dato in adozione e Elizabeth sta tentando di affrontare il suo rigido e severo marito pastore. Il film ha ricevuto ovunque delle meritate standing ovation.
