Fiore selvaggio (1991)
Stati Uniti del Sud, nel pieno della Grande Depressione. Due ragazzi da poco orfani, Ellie Perkins e suo fratello Sammy, vivono con un padre alcolizzato e la nonna Bessie. Un giorno Ellie, passeggiando in una fattoria nel vicinato, scopre una ragazza chiusa in una capanna. La giovane, Alice, è sorda ed epilettica e maltrattata dal patrigno. I due ragazzi iniziano così ad affezionarsi alla giovane.
