Ha poi debuttato sullo schermo in un piccolo ruolo in Lovers and Other Strangers (1970). Altri suoi film popolari includono Manhattan (1979), Baby Boom (1987), Father of the Bride (1991), Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993), Father of the Bride Part II (1995), The First Wives Club (1996), The Family Stone (2005), Morning Glory (2010), Alla ricerca di Dory (2016) e Book Club (2018).
