Donne (1939)
Il film, ambientato nell'alta borghesia americana, narra le vicende di Mary, moglie felice e madre di una bambina. Per la perfidia di due sue amiche pettegole, viene a sapere che il marito la tradisce. La donna ne rimane turbata profondamente e ottiene il divorzio. Ma il secondo matrimonio dell'uomo fallisce sia per l'intervento di Mary, sia per la spregiudicatezza della nuova moglie.
