Saputo che si sta mettendo in scena a Broadway una rivista destinata a sbeffeggiarlo, il miliardario Jean Marc Clement si presenta in incognito a teatro, per vedere fino a che punto ciò è vero. Preso per una comparsa, finisce per vedersi affidata la parte... di se stesso. Accetta, per rimanere accanto ad Amanda, una bellissima attrice della compagnia dal fascino ingenuo quanto irresistibile.
