Richard (Pierce Brosnan), brillante professore di poesia a Cambridge, è un inguaribile donnaiolo che, dopo aver incontrato la donna della sua vita (Salma Hayek), si trasferisce in California e cerca di dare una regolata alla sua passione per il gentil sesso.
