Mutazioni (1969)
Sono trascorsi un paio di anni dalla fine della Terza guerra mondiale, durata solo 2 minuti e 28 secondi. Una bomba nucleare sganciata su Londra ha ridotto la città a un deserto e i pochi superstiti portano addosso le conseguenze fisiche e psicologiche dell'esplosione. In questo contesto di desolazione, la famiglia Frerdin vive sull'unico treno della metropolitana ancora in funzione quando la figlia Penelope, incinta di diciassette mesi, decide di avventurarsi in superficie insieme ad Allan, il padre del nascituro, per trovare un operatore sanitario che la possa aiutare con un parto che non si decide ad arrivare.
