24 Hour Party People (2002)
Il film narra la vicenda di Tony Wilson, che per vivere fa l'animatore in televisione, poi, di notte, si dedica alla sua grande passione, la musica, producendo dischi attraverso una sua etichetta, la Factory, diventata poi leggendaria, così come l'Hazienda, il locale di tendenza che faceva una musica che poi avrebbe invaso il mondo. Tutto questo a Manchester, un vero e proprio marchio per il mondo, con gruppi che avrebbero avuto grande successo: i Joy Division, i New Order, i Chemical Brothers. Winterbottom non solo è una delle più importanti firme del cinema inglese del cosiddetto "dopo Thatcher", ma é anche un grande appassionato di musica.
