Andy Serkis (nato il 20 aprile 1964 a Londra, Inghilterra) è un attore, regista e produttore britannico. È considerato uno dei pionieri della performance capture, tecnica che ha contribuito a rivoluzionare grazie a interpretazioni diventate iconiche nel cinema contemporaneo. Ha raggiunto la fama internazionale interpretando Gollum nelle trilogie de Il Signore degli Anelli e Lo Hobbit dirette da Peter Jackson. La sua interpretazione, realizzata attraverso la performance capture, è considerata una delle più influenti nella storia degli effetti visivi e della recitazione cinematografica. Nel corso della carriera ha dato vita ad altri personaggi memorabili come King Kong nell'omonimo film del 2005, Cesare nella trilogia de Il pianeta delle scimmie, il Leader Supremo Snoke nella trilogia sequel di Star Wars e Ulysses Klaue nei film del Marvel Cinematic Universe Black Panther e Avengers: Age of Ultron. Oltre alla recitazione, ha intrapreso con successo la carriera di regista dirigendo Mowgli - Il figlio della giungla (2018) e Venom - La furia di Carnage (2021).
