E’ il 1947. Il detective più famoso al mondo, Sherlock Holmes, ormai in pensione, conduce una vita tranquilla in una fattoria della campagna inglese. Si occupa di piante e api ma sente che la sua vera identità si sta sgretolando. Con l’aiuto di Roger, il figlio quattordicenne della sua domestica, Holmes riaprirà l’unico caso irrisolto nella sua vita e sarà costretto a rispondere alle domande che non si era mai posto. Un racconto intenso, misterioso e avvincente con una memorabile interpretazione di Sir Ian McKellen.
