La morte arriva strisciando (1966)
Harry Spalding si trasferisce con la moglie Valerie a Clagmoor Heath, un piccolo paese della Cornovaglia, nel cottage che ha ereditato dal fratello Charles, morto in circostanze mai del tutto chiarite. Turbato dalla inspiegabile diffidenza che la gente del luogo manifesta nei loro confronti, Spalding raccoglie le confidenze del padrone della locale taverna e capisce che in paese sono stati registrati altri delitti rimasti insoluti. Riesumato il corpo del fratello e di un'altra vittima, Spalding scopre che entrambi recano i segni del morso di un serpente mostruoso.
