Tra cielo e terra (1993)
Dopo che i francesi hanno devastato il villaggio in cui vive, Le Ly, una giovane vietnamita, viene presa e torturata dai vietcong. Rimasta in seguito incinta di un ricco vietnamita, finisce poi in un bordello dove si rincontra con sua sorella. Successivamente Le Ly sposa un sergente americano ma neanche con lui sembra trovare la serenità.
