Terrore Sull'Everest (1997)
Nel maggio 1996, il monte Everest è lo scenario di una delle tragedie più tristemente famose nella storia dell’alpinismo: otto escursionisti, impegnati nella sfida con la montagna più alta del mondo, vengono sorpresi da una tempesta di neve durante l’ascesa alla vetta. Basandosi sulle testimonianze dei superstiti (e del giornalista Jon Krakauer), si ricostruisce la storia di una spedizione che - a causa di stupide ambizioni, incoscienza, irresponsabilità, maltempo e sfortuna - si trasformò in una trappola mortale. Un’ulteriore dimostrazione, se ancora ce ne fosse bisogno, di quanto possa costare agli esseri umani il sottovalutare la forza della natura.
