Richard Dale Jenkins (nato il 4 maggio 1947) è un attore americano. Jenkins iniziò la sua carriera di attore a teatro presso la Trinity Repertory Company e fece il suo debutto cinematografico nel 1974. Ha lavorato costantemente nel cinema e in televisione dagli anni '80, principalmente in ruoli di supporto. Il suo primo ruolo importante arrivò solo nei primi anni 2000, quando interpretò il defunto patriarca Nathaniel Fisher nella serie funebre HBO Six Feet Under (2001–2005). È anche conosciuto per i suoi ruoli nei film Burn After Reading (2008), Step Brothers (2008), Let Me In (2010), Jack Reacher (2012) e The Cabin in the Woods (2012). Jenkins è stato nominato all'Oscar come miglior attore per il film drammatico The Visitor (2007). Ha vinto il Primetime Emmy Award come miglior attore protagonista in una miniserie o in un film per la miniserie drammatica limitata Olive Kitteridge (2014). Per la sua interpretazione nel film drammatico fantasy The Shape of Water (2017), Jenkins ha ricevuto nomination all'Oscar, Golden Globe e Screen Actors Guild Award come Miglior Attore Non Protagonista.
