La tortura della freccia (1957)
Incapace di accettare la sconfitta rimediata nella guerra civile americana, il soldato confederato di origine irlandese O'Meara (Rod Steiger) decide di dirigersi verso Ovest e iniziare una nuova vita tra le tribù degli indiani Sioux. Dopo essersi sottoposto a un rituale chiamato "la tortura della freccia", O'Meara viene accettato dai Sioux, di cui sposa una giovane donna. La sua nuova identità sarà però messa a dura prova quando, in seguito al conflitto che scoppia tra i Sioux e le truppe dell'esercito del Nord, dovrà decidere da che parte stare.
