Michael Chambers è uno scommettitore accanito che per questa sua insana passione si è ridotto sul lastrico. Per racimolare un po' di soldi si fa assumere come portavalori, ma più che allo stipendio lui mira al contenuto delle proprie valigette. Così, con la complicità dell'ex fidanzata, che l'ha mollato ma che lui vorrebbe riconquistare, e dell'attuale, violento, compagno della donna, progetta il colpo.
