La traccia del serpente (1949)
Merle Kramer lavora come segretaria per uno psichiatra ed è anche fidanzata con Karl Benson, un detective privato ed ex poliziotto. Mentre racconta che uno dei pazienti del suo capo sogna ricorrentemente di uccidere la moglie, Merle si lascia sfuggire che la donna possiede alcuni gioielli preziosi. Quando la malcapitata viene uccisa realmente, diverse persone finiscono invischiate nel caso.
