Faszination Bergfilm - Himmelhoch und Abgrundtief (2008)
Un'affascinante cronologia di 100 anni di storia del cinema di montagna nelle Alpi. Questo documentario si concentra principalmente sui film girati sul Cervino, sull'Eiger e sulle Grandes Jorasses, considerate fino agli anni '30 come gli "ultimi problemi delle Alpi", e mostra l'evoluzione del cinema di montagna attraverso numerosi estratti di documentari e lungometraggi, in particolare sul Cervino nel 1901. Il genere, appropriato come mezzo di esaltazione di massa dai regimi "fascisti" durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, fu reinventato negli anni '50 da Gaston Rebuffat, Marcel Ichac e Lionel Terray nel massiccio del Monte Bianco, figure d'avanguardia del cinema di montagna francese, che reintrodussero, oltre alla performance, i valori della montagna – e a colori – poesia, umorismo e condivisione tra persone di ogni estrazione sociale.
