The Killer Inside Me (2010)
Texas, primi anni '50. Lou Ford è il giovane sceriffo di una sperduta contea e, nonostante il salario basso e la prospettiva di una carriera non esaltante davanti a sé, non si risparmia in favori per la sua comunità. Quando su esplicita richiesta del più importante affarista della zona, Chester Conway, viene incaricato di sfrattare Joyce Lakeland, una prostituta che si intrattiene con il figlio del magnate, Lou si reca a casa della ragazza. Gli schiaffi e gli insulti con cui Joyce accoglie l'ingresso dello sceriffo, risvegliano in lui un'indole aggressiva da tempo sopita che lo porta a percuoterla e possederla brutalmente. Da quel momento, i due intraprendono una relazione a base di sesso e violenza sadomaso, finché Joyce non propone a Lou di ricattare il figlio di Conway. Ma Lou decide di modificare il progetto a suo piacimento.
