La figlia di Ryan (1970)
Siamo nel 1916, durante la prima guerra mondiale e nel pieno della rivolta irlandese. Rosy, la figlia di Tom Ryan, l'uomo più ricco del paese, e moglie del non più giovane maestro del luogo, si innamora di un ufficiale inglese, attirandosi l'ostilità di tutti i compaesani che le attribuiscono anche, ingiustamente, la responsabilità del tradimento del padre. L'ufficiale inglese, resosi conto di aver perso l'amore della donna, si uccide, la protagonista e il marito sono costretti ad allontanarsi per sempre dal villaggio.
