Robert Charles Durman Mitchum (6 agosto 1917 – 1 luglio 1997) è stato un attore, autore, compositore e cantante cinematografico statunitense. È stato classificato al #23 nella lista dell'American Film Institute delle più grandi leggende maschili americane del cinema di tutti i tempi. Mitchum è ricordato soprattutto per i suoi ruoli da protagonista in diverse opere importanti dello stile film noir, ed è considerato un precursore degli anti-eroi diffusi nel cinema negli anni '50 e '60.
