Duke Diver è il direttore di Villa Capri, un lussuoso resort di Palm Springs. Ha alle spalle un passato misterioso ma da vero professionista delle vacanze fa tutto il possibile affinché i suoi ospiti si divertano. La sua tranquillità viene minata il giorno in cui si palesa l'ex militare Leo. Tra i due uomini ha inizio ben presto una competizione per la supremazia e le attenzioni di Suzie, appena arrivata. Quando il passato di Duke torna prepotentemente a galla, i due rivali mettono da parte le differenze e fanno coppia per fermare chi sta provando a uccidere il direttore e salvare Villa Capri.
