Incantesimo (1956)
Il giovane pianista Eddie Duchin fa carriera a New York. Si sposa con Marjorie, che poi muore dando alla luce il piccolo Peter. Serbando rancore al bambino per la morte della donna di cui era innamorato, Eddie lo affida agli zii e parte per l'Europa: cinque anni di tournée, poi il ritorno, poi la guerra. Infine, a casa: ha ritrovato l'affetto per il figlio, ma viene colpito da un male incurabile.
