Settimo velo (1945)
Francesca è una pianista di fama mondiale, ora ricoverata in ospedale, e dopo aver tentato il suicidio gettandosi da un ponte, si chiude in un impenetrabile silenzio. Viene affidata alle cure del dottor Larsen che tramite l'ipnosi cerca di capire le cause del suo gesto, sondando la psiche della donna. Francesca rivive così il complicato rapporto con il suo tutore, tenuta lontano da tutto e da tutti, dall'uomo che amava, costretta a studiare piano 5-6 ore al giorno, e comprende alla fine il legame che la unisce a lui.
