I Am Not a Witch (2017)
In un villaggio rurale dello Zambia contemporaneo, una bambina di nove anni di nome Shula viene ingiustamente accusata di stregoneria a seguito di un banale incidente locale. Dopo un sommario giudizio, la piccola viene internata in un campo per streghe gestito dallo Stato, dove viene costretta a subire un bizzarro rituale di confinamento: legata a un lungo nastro bianco bobinato, le viene intimato che, qualora decidesse di tagliarlo per fuggire, si trasformerà istantaneamente in una capra. Sfruttata da un viscido funzionario governativo per scopi commerciali e pseudo-giudiziari, Shula dovrà navigare una realtà assurda sospesa tra superstizione e burocrazia.
