Su un treno in viaggio fra la Baviera e la Svizzera ci sono alcuni stranieri che temendo lo scoppio della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, hanno deciso di lasciare la Germania per riparare in un paese neutrale. Tra loro c'è anche l'anziana signora Froy. Poco dopo la partenza però la donna svanisce nel nulla.
