Lo strano mondo di Daisy Clover (1966)
Daisy, una giovane e sensibile cantante, ottiene una scrittura, ma il produttore, che la vuole libera da ogni legame, fa internare la madre, una psicolabile con la quale la ragazza viveva, in manicomio. Sola e disperata Daisy sposa un giovane attore che poi la pianta. La madre esce dal manicomio per andare a vivere con lei, ma muore poco dopo. Daisy sopravvive a tanta sfortuna: canterà ancora.
