Le balene d'agosto (1987)
Libby e Sarah, due anziane sorelle, trascorrono gli ultimi anni della loro vita in una bella casa su un'isola. Sarah, che nonostante l'età è ancora molto attiva, fa da infermiera a Libby, che è cieca e ha un carattere scontroso. Di tanto in tanto la loro solitudine è interrotta da visite improvvise, tra cui quella di un agente immobiliare che ha messo gli occhi sulla casa.
