Carmen Jones (1954)
Carmen Jones è un'operaia che lavora in una fabbrica di paracaduti, presidiata da un reggimento di aviatori statunitensi. Un giorno litiga con una collega e danneggia irreparabilmente un paracadute. L'inflessibile sergente Brown pretende che la donna venga rinchiusa nella prigione di Jacksonville, e la affida al caporale Joe. Tra Carmen e Joe inizia un rapporto in bilico tra il conflitto e l'amore, che porterà il soldato a prendere decisioni scomode e compromettenti per la sua vita e la carriera militare, in nome del sentimento che lo anima...
