L'amica (1943)
Una scrittrice è innamorata del marito della sua più cara amica ed è corrisposta da lui. In nome dell'amicizia rinuncia però al suo sentimento. Poi, dopo anni di solitudine, si innamora del fidanzato della figlia della stessa amica. Anche qui l'uomo la corrisponde, ma lei rinuncia un'altra volta.
