Mrs Lowry & Son (2019)
L'artista L.S. Lowry vive per tutta la vita con la madre Elizabeth, una donna che cerca sempre di dissuaderlo dalle sue ambizioni artistiche e che non perde mai occasione di ricordargli quanto per lei rappresenti una delusione. Trascorrendo le giornate a ritirare affitti, Lowry prende lezioni d'arte la sera e dipinge nelle prime ore del mattino sperando che il suo lavoro venga apprezzato a Londra e oltre. Se da un lato rappresenta l'ultimo ostacolo per agguantare il successo, dall'altro lato la madre è il motivo per cui Lowry dipinge qualsiasi cosa alla disperata ricerca di un soggetto che possa renderla felice...
