Il Re degli scacchi (2021)
Vienna, 1938. L’Austria è occupata dal regime nazista. Poco prima che l’avvocato Josef Bartok e la moglie Anna possano fuggire negli Stati Uniti, l’uomo viene arrestato e portato all’Hotel Metropol, sede della Gestapo. In qualità di gestore patrimoniale della nobiltà della città, dovrebbe fornire al leader della Gestapo Böhm l’accesso ai conti. Poiché si rifiuta di collaborare, Bartok è posto in isolamento. Qui trascorre prima settimane e poi mesi all’insegna della disperazione fino a quando non si imbatte in un libro di scacchi…
