Nella rete del serial killer (2008)

Una gattina viene uccisa in diretta sul web. Il sito da cui provengono le immagini si chiama Killwithme. Il Dipartimento di Polizia di Portland, nell'Oregon, ha una sezione dedicata ai crimini commessi in rete e ad occuparsi del caso sono l'agente Jennifer Marsh e il collega Griffin Dowd. Jennifer ha una figlia che vive con lei insieme alla madre. La sua vita familiare finisce però inevitabilmente con l'intrecciarsi con il suo lavoro. Anche perché il killer mediatico passa dagli animali agli uomini e mette in atto un gioco estremamente perverso: più collegamenti ci saranno al suo sito e più velocemente le sue vittime, che provvede a torturare in diretta, andranno incontro alla morte. Il tempo ovviamente stringe anche perché il sito non è riconducibile al suo titolare; è cioè (come vuole il titolo originale) 'untraceable'.
