Laughter in Paradise (1951)
Il celebre burlone Henry Russell muore lasciando un’eredità di cinquantamila sterline a ciascuno dei suoi quattro familiari, ma a una condizione precisa: dovranno dimostrare di saper superare i propri limiti caratteriali compiendo imprese per loro umilianti. Il pomposo scrittore di gialli Deniston deve farsi arrestare per un piccolo furto, la superba Agnes deve lavorare come domestica, il timido Herbert deve rapinare il suo principale e il dongiovanni Simon deve sposare la prima donna con cui parlerà. La sfida metterà a nudo le loro fragilità in una girandola di situazioni paradossali.
