I soliti ignoti Made in Usa (1984)
Ritrovatosi disoccupato, Weslake si accontenta di fare qualche lavoretto mal retribuito presso il banco dei pegni dell’amico Garvey, dove c’è un continuo viavai di personaggi bizzarri e oggetti di valore. Un giorno entrano in negozio Dillard - elettricista appassionato di musica - e il messicano Ramon. I due squattrinati tentano di recuperare una chitarra che Dillard aveva dato in pegno tempo prima, ma i pochi soldi a loro disposizione non gli permettono di riprendere lo strumento. Amareggiati, si vedono offrire dallo stesso Garvey un’occasione succosa: egli propone all’elettricista di montare nel suo negozio un sistema d’antifurto. Consapevole dell’opportunità - ovvero poter entrare indisturbato nel banco dei pegni e prelevare la sua amata chitarra - Dillard accetta il lavoro. Nel frattempo Weslake - che ha ascoltato tutto - si unisce alla rapina, sicuro di poterci guadagnare qualcosa anche lui. Ma niente andrà come previsto...
