Sean Justin Penn (nato il 17 agosto 1960) è un attore e regista cinematografico americano. Ha vinto due Premi Oscar, per i suoi ruoli nel dramma mistero Mystic River (2003) e nel biopic Milk (2008). Penn iniziò la sua carriera di attore in televisione, con una breve apparizione nell'episodio 112 di La casa nella prateria il 4 dicembre 1974, diretto da suo padre Leo Penn.
