Afterschool (2009)
Studente di un'esclusiva high school della East Coast americana, Robert è un adolescente che vive isolato e dissociato dal mondo inquieto e falsamente perbenista che lo circonda. Condivide la stanza con Dave, spacciatore di droghe e alcol del liceo, e con un computer con il quale trascorre la maggior parte del suo tempo a scaricare tutti i brevi filmati postati in rete. L'interesse per il mondo dei video lo porta a iscriversi al corso di audiovisivi, dove viene incaricato di realizzare un progetto sulla scuola. Mentre si trova da solo a filmare uno dei corridoi dell'edificio, riprende le due ragazze più popolari dell'istituto in preda ad un'emorragia causata da una sniffata di cocaina contaminata con veleno per topi. La scena segna in modo indelebile la mente di Robert e mina le apparenze dell'intera istituzione scolastica.
