Ancora vivo (1996)
Jericho, stato del Texas, 1931. Una città di frontiera con una popolazione in rapido declino. Gli ultimi cowboys hanno lasciato il posto a mafiosi vestiti di tweed provenienti dalla rovente Chicago. Costoro arrivano spinti dalla necessità di controllare il traffico illegale di liquori in arrivo dal vicino Messico. Nella città dettano legge due gang rivali cui fanno capo Doyle e Strozzi. Un giorno arriva un misterioso straniero che si fa chiamare Smith. È gentile, cinico ed elusivo, ma si rende perfettamente conto del male che domina la città...
