Romantici equivoci (1997)
Kate, brillante pubblicitaria in un'agenzia di New York, non riesce, per motivi a lei incomprensibili, ad avere un avanzamento di carriera. Mentre la madre insiste per vederla sistemata, Kate mette gli occhi sul collega Sam, che però è interessato solo alle donne già impegnate. Mentre Kate cerca una soluzione per soddisfare le esigenze del suo capo e i propri sogni romantici, la sua amica e collega Darcy decide di inventare per lei un fidanzato fittizio, un certo Nick, che Kate ha incontrato una volta sola ad un matrimonio. Kate accetta di stare al gioco e, incredibilmente, in breve tempo ottiene la promozione e l'attenzione da parte di Sam.
