Cane di paglia (1971)
David Summer, un giovane professore americano, si rifugia con la moglie nel villaggio natale di lei, in Inghilterra, per dedicarsi ai suoi studi di matematica. Ben presto, anche a causa della civetteria della donna, l'uomo si trova al centro di continue provocazioni da parte di alcuni giovinastri del luogo. Il tutto culmina in un vero e proprio assalto alla casa, nel corso del quale il professore mette la sua intelligenza al servizio di una feroce autodifesa.
