Ving Rhames (nato il 12 maggio 1959) è un attore statunitense, conosciuto per la sua presenza scenica, la voce profonda e le interpretazioni intense in film d'azione, thriller e drammi. Dopo gli studi alla Juilliard School, ha iniziato la sua carriera tra teatro, televisione e cinema, affermandosi progressivamente come uno dei più riconoscibili attori caratteristi di Hollywood. Ha ottenuto il primo grande riconoscimento internazionale con Pulp Fiction (1994), diretto da Quentin Tarantino, nel quale interpreta Marsellus Wallace. La sua carriera è proseguita con film come Don King - Una storia tutta americana (1997), Con Air (1997), Entrapment (1999), Dawn of the Dead (2004) e L'alba dei morti viventi (2004), oltre a numerose produzioni televisive. Ha raggiunto una grande popolarità internazionale interpretando Luther Stickell nella saga Mission: Impossible, ruolo che ha debuttato in Mission: Impossible (1996) e che ha ripreso in numerosi capitoli della serie, tra cui Mission: Impossible 2 (2000), Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible - Protocollo fantasma (2011), Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015), Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018) e Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning (2023). Grazie alla sua lunga carriera, alla versatilità e soprattutto al ruolo di Luther Stickell, Ving Rhames è diventato uno dei volti più riconoscibili del cinema d'azione internazionale.
