Brian Denis Cox (nato il 1° giugno 1946) è un attore scozzese. Attore shakespeariano formato in stile classico, è noto per il suo lavoro a teatro e sullo schermo. I suoi numerosi riconoscimenti includono due Laurence Olivier Awards, un Primetime Emmy Award e un Golden Globe, oltre a una nomination per un British Academy Television Award. Nel 2003 è stato nominato Ordine dell'Impero Britannico con il grado di Comandante. Cox si è formato al Dundee Repertory Theatre prima di diventare membro fondatore del Royal Lyceum Theatre. Successivamente si formò come attore shakespeariano, recitando in numerose produzioni con il Royal National Theatre e la Royal Shakespeare Company, dove ottenne riconoscimenti per la sua interpretazione di Re Lear. Cox ha ricevuto due Laurence Olivier Awards come miglior attore per i suoi ruoli in Rat in the Skull (1984), per Royal Court e Titus Andronicus (1988).
