Marlowe - Omicidio a Poodle Springs (1998)
Laura è un avvocato, una ricca ereditiera ed è oltretutto profondamente innamorata di Marlowe. I loro approcci sono interrotti da una telefonata di un altro investigatore privato, Paul Krauss, che si trova nei guai ed ha bisogno di aiuto. Nel mezzo della telefonata si sentono due colpi, Marlowe chiama la polizia e raggiunge la scena del delitto. Krauss viene trovato morto e la polizia arresta Marlowe come sospettato.
