Jeremy John Irons (Londra, 19 settembre 1948) è un attore e attivista britannico. Dopo aver ricevuto una formazione classica alla Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Irons ha iniziato la sua carriera di attore sul palcoscenico nel 1969 ed è apparso in molte produzioni teatrali del West End, tra cui le opere di Shakespeare Il racconto d'inverno, Macbeth, Molto rumore per nulla, La bisbetica domata e Riccardo II. In televisione, Irons è apparso nella miniserie storica Elisabetta I, ricevendo un Golden Globe e un Emmy Award come miglior attore non protagonista. Dal 2011 al 2013 ha interpretato il ruolo di Papa Alessandro VI nella serie storica The Borgias. Nel 2019 è apparso nel ruolo di Adrian Veidt / Ozymandias in Watchmen della HBO. È uno dei pochi attori ad aver raggiunto la "Triple Crown of Acting" negli Stati Uniti, vincendo un Oscar per il cinema, un Emmy per la televisione e un Tony Award per il teatro.
