Lee Marvin (New York, 19 febbraio 1924 – New York, 29 agosto 1987) è stato un attore statunitense. Conosciuto per la sua voce distintiva e i capelli bianchi prematuri, Marvin è apparso inizialmente in ruoli secondari, per lo più cattivi, soldati e altri personaggi hardboiled. Un ruolo televisivo di primo piano è stato quello del tenente detective Frank Ballinger nella serie poliziesca M Squad (1957-1960). Marvin è ricordato soprattutto per i suoi ruoli da protagonista come Charlie Strom in The Killers (1964), Rico Fardan in The Professionals (1966), il maggiore John Reisman in The Dirty Dozen, Walker in Point Blank (entrambi del 1967) e il sergente in The Big Red One (1980). Uno dei progetti cinematografici più importanti di Marvin è stato Cat Ballou (1965), una commedia western in cui ha interpretato un doppio ruolo. Per aver interpretato sia il pistolero Kid Shelleen che il criminale Tim Strawn, ha vinto l'Oscar come miglior attore, insieme a un BAFTA Award, un Golden Globe, un NBR Award e l'Orso d'argento come miglior attore.
