Il selvaggio (1953)
In una tranquilla cittadina della California spadroneggia una banda di giovinastri dediti all'ubriachezza, alle gimkane motociclistiche e ad azioni di teppismo. La banda è capeggiata da Johnny (Brando) un duro (all'apparenza) ma dal cuore tenero. Un giorno verrà accusato ingiustamente di omicidio, e verrà scagionato proprio dalla testimonianza del poliziotto del paese. E' un film che ha fatto epoca, sia nel costume (il giubbotto di pelle e la moto di Brando), che nell'immaginario collettivo. E' un film che ha agito più nel tempo che nell'immediato, divenendo il capostipite della denuncia di un certo malessere giovanile.
